About the School:
Alverno Heights Academy is an independant, Catholic, coed TK- 8th grade school.Alverno sits on a beautiful 13.5 acre property which includes the historic Villa Del Sol d’Oro, state of the art S.T.E.A.M Lab, Media Studio, Makerspace, Science Lab, Learning Technology Center, and new soccer and softball field. Alverno’s program - academic,spiritual, aesthetic, social, and physical - is shaped by the faculty and staff, Board of Trustees, and the student and parent community in light of the world for which the students are being educated.

Alverno Heights Academy, a TK-8 independent school nestled in the lush San Gabriel Foothills, offers a robust curricular and co-curricular program for all students. Instruction is not limited to the classroom nor grade level. Students experience multiple sensory and cognitive experiences that develop critical thinking, self-confidence, autonomy and a love of learning. The beautiful 13.5 acre campus offers multiple adventures in and out of the classrooms. Students of all ages enjoy two fully equipped Science Labs, Robotics, a Makerspace/STEAM Lab, a Learning Technology Center, a Music Room, a kiln equipped Art Studio, after school enrichment classes and a championship sports program for girls and boys. Alverno also has an innovative parent community that supports the many opportunities offered to our students

Alverno Heights Academy provides a safe, empowering, and nurturing environment that prepares students for high school and beyond. Alverno offers rigorous, 21st century instruction provided by master teachers and teaching assistants. Students utilize technology that supports innovative classroom lessons. With a small student teacher ratio across all grades, teachers can focus on individual student needs. Alverno teachers take the time to create personal connections with each student.

Team Sports:
At Alverno all students, TK-8th grade, participate in physical education classes. Our classes emphasize fun, fitness and growth as students engage in group play as well as larger movements. The Alverno Heights Academy Athletic program is open to all students in 3rd grade and up. Starting in 3rd Grade, Alverno students have the opportunity to join our Cross Country and Track team as well as our Golf Program. In 5th Grade, Alverno offers multiple sports throughout the year, including Coed Football, Girl’s & Boy’s Volleyball, Girl’s and Boy’s Basketball, Golf, Track and Cross Country.
Extracurricular activities:
Alverno Heights Academy offers a broad range of student activities, clubs, and social opportunities designed to foster interpersonal growth and leadership skills, including a Mock Trial, Speech and Debate, and Performing Arts. Along with these activities, Alverno also offers a wide range of After School Enrichment Classes such as Chess, Mandarin, Photography, Cooking and more.
